The game and associated terms referenced often in this site, both through character and organization names (Arachnos, Lord Recluse, Paragon City, The Rogue Isles, Shivans, the Council and so on) are all proprietary content of NCSoft through their product City of Villians, a massively-multiplayer online game designed around the supervillain genre, a follow-up and tie-in with the City of Heroes product. The remainder of the content is original, and is ficitonal material with some fact embedded; much like a network news report. There is, unfortunately, no real Arachnos Mutagenics corporation, so please do not forward any more resumes, as any job listings on here are also fictitious. Screen grabs were made by the sole author, Pat Kelley, or were taken from screen grabs available on the official COV site.

This site is a tongue-in-cheek spoof of the methods and web presence of real biomedical companies, and stereotyped views of scientists and their methods. It is meant as a comic, satirical exercise and not under any circumstances to be taken seriously.

I would, however, appreciate in-character responses from folks who play the game, or do not but wish to be part of the Mad Scientist community.

Thank you.

Pat Kelley
